The theme of this year's German-American Day is "30th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall". This is also the theme for the t-Shirt design. As part of the 25th anniversary of German American Day and #WunderbarTogether, a year of German-American friendship in the US, the World Languages Department at McDaniel College and Goethe-Institut Washington cordially invite interested students and teachers of German, as well as representatives of German businesses and experts in the field of studying and working in Germany, to this year’s combined German American Day and German Career Day “Career Booster Germany”. We are also in the process of trying to get Eddi Hüneke, former member of the legendary Wise Guys band, to come to this year’s GAD, offer a workshop for the students and then perform at the event. Please keep your fingers crossed that it will work out. He is a great musician, sings beautifully in clear German and offers wonderful workshops for young and old.
