• Middle/ high school and college students are eligible to participate.
• The design must be the work of the student.
• Illustrations must be used in addition to words.
• The Design must include a the original slogan depicting the theme of this year's GAD: "30th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall".
  
• The design must measure 8.5 inches by 11 inches with one inch margin on all sides.
• Designs must be submitted as an image (jpg, gif or pdf) to mesa@mcdaniel.edu and the original must be sent to us.
• Schools are limited to one entry each. (Please adhere to this otherwise we will disqualify more than 1 entry per school.)
• The design may not display copyrighted figures in the design, e.g., Snoopy, Mickey Mouse. etc.
• Each entry must include on a separate paper the following information:
  • student's last and first name
  • teacher's last and first name
  • school name
  • school address
  • teacher’s e-mail address
• Winning Designs become the property of McDaniel College and cannot be returned. McDaniel College retains the copy rights for the design.
• Only one design will be selected for this year’s GAD.
• Winning students must attend GAD and pay the registration fee.

Prizes

• Every student who submits a design and attends GAD will be mentioned in the program and will receive a certificate.
• First Prize: $100.
• Second Prize: $75.
• Third Prize: $50.
