German-American Day 1998 is sponsored by

1999 marks an important year in German history: the 10th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Federal Republic of Germany, the 60th anniversary of the beginning of WW II, the 61st anniversary of Reichskristallnacht, Goethe's 250th birthday, and the 750th anniversary of the city of Weimar, the birthplace of the Weimar Republic.
This year's German American Day will offer 22 various workshops on many aspects of German life and culture. (See enclosed sign-up sheet.) The students will choose one of the 22 workshops offered by WMC professors and advanced German students, high school teachers and others. The cost will be $12.00 per person which will cover program, lunch in our student cafeteria and a T-shirt.
