German Studies at McDaniel
On October 3, 1990, Germany West and East united to become one single state, the Federal Republic of Germany. The local Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) and the Department of Foreign Languages at McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College) invite you, your students, and anyone who is interested to celebrate this year's German-American Day on Tuesday, October 16, 2001.

The theme of this year's German American Day is “German-speaking Countries in Europe”. Various workshops on many aspects of life and culture of German-speaking countries will be offered by McDaniel professors and advanced German students, high school teachers and others from the community. The cost will be $12.00 per person which will cover program, lunch in our student cafeteria and a T-shirt.

German-American Day 2001 is sponsored by
The German Society of Maryland
Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany
The American Association of Teachers of German (AATG)
Department of Foreign Languages, McDaniel College.
