(above titles found during collection analysis of local middle school media collection)

Would you suggest these titles for your students' research projects? Do you think that maybe, just maybe, there are more current resources available to work with? If you are tired of old, outdated, and smelly books, go ahead and withdraw them. I can provide you with a book order, reference book order and database collection that will bring your collection up-to-date. The students and staff will flock to the media center with the diverse choices that I can put on your shelves and your computers. I have examined multiple professional selection journals, discussed with other practicing librarians, consulted the school curriculum and utilized the county wide selection policies and criteria to create these orders that will stimulate any middle school community. How about Top Secret: A Handbook of Codes, Ciphers, and Secret Writing 2004, or Winning Lacrosse for Girls 2004? Or maybe Talking Drums: A Selection of Poems from Africa South of the Sahara 2004 and The Human Story: Our Evolution from Prehistoric Ancestors to Today 2004? And for those research papers, let us not forget the on-line sources such as the World Book Encyclopedia On-Line and Gale Resource Center, Jr. This is only the beginning. These resource orders will provide your learning community with necessary print and non-print resources for curricular as well as personal needs.
