BLACK-EYED SUSAN AWARDS PROGRAM

The Maryland Black-Eyed Susan award is presented annually to an outstanding picture book and chapter books for grades 4-6 , 6-9 and 9-12. The winners are selected by students who have read a required number of books from the list of nominees.

Highland students in grades 1-5 have read the required number of picture book nominees and will be eligible to vote for their favorite.
Many of our fourth and fifth grade students have read the chapter books for grades 4-6 and will be voting in that category as well.
