Gay Jewell Love Spring 2006

 

Developed as a reference mainly by McDaniel College elementary education minors during their coursework at McDaniel College, McDaniel College Education Department faculty and staff and Carroll County Professional Development School mentor teachers, site coordinators and administrators.  

 

EDUCATION PARTNERS               

       

McDaniel College and Carroll County Public Schools formed a partnership agreement in 1999 naming a number of their schools as professional development schools. A Professional Development School (PDS) is a collaboratively planned and implemented partnership for the academic and clinical preparation of interns and the continuous professional development of both school system and institution of higher education faculty.            

 

CCPS (Carroll County Public Schools)-   

This website includes a directory of CCPS schools, academic calendar, instructional services, administrative services, student handbook, etc..  It posts current news alerts, such as upcoming events, the master plan and inclement weather school cancellations. MSDE (Maryland State Department of Education)-

Beginning Teacher Standards-
