Using Excel to Collect and Analyze Data

Participants will:
*Communicate student progress to peers and/or parents using authentic data organized in Excel.

  1. Complete Using Microsoft Excel to Graph Student Data activity.
  2. Gather some authentic data from your students that you might use to convey information to staff or parents. Plan how you might like to represent the data in terms of a chart or graph. Use this data for the assessment.
  3. Complete the Module 6 Assessment which asks you to create a spreadsheet, a chart, and then insert the chart into a Word document.
