Here is how you
will accomplish your task:

Preparing the talk show...
1. Decide who will have what
part. You need to have each of
the following roles:
a. Talk
Show Host: You
moderate the entire talk show. Create an opening statement
"Welcome to Lisa Live. Today we will be talking with....".
Then, work with each "guest" to formulate questions to ask.
Finally, develop a conclusion: "That's all the time we have
today, tune it tomorrow for...".
b. Abolitionist
#1: Decide
who you are, and then go back and research that person. Work with
host to develop questions and answers.
c. Abolitionist
#2: Decide who you are, and
then go back and research that person. Work with host to develop
questions and answers.
d. Pro-Slavery #1:
Decide who you are, and
then go back and research that person. Work with host to develop
questions and answers.
e. Pro-Slavery #2:
Decide who you are, and then go back

answers.
2. Go to the media center to find additional information
about the person you have chosen. Talk Show Hosts: Help
each of your group members find relevant information!!!
3. Think about your individual
role...write a 1/2 page summary
of
the main points that you should say during the talk show.
4. Create a written copy of
the entire talk show. This must
be typed and proofread!! Make sure that
each group member has a
copy.
5. Practice!! Practice!! Practice!!: Look at how your group
will be evaluated and make sure you have
everything prepared ahead of time!!
6.
Costumes/Signs/Props: You are encouraged but not
required to incorporate costumes, signs and props into your talk
show. Be creative and have fun
with this!!
