Course Module
Thinking Cap
Objective
Students will research copyright laws and fair use policies.

Objective
Students will identify main points relevant to use of materials both in and out of the classroom.

Introduction
Students today use the Internet on a daily, sometimes hourly basis. The use of such programs as Powerpoint, Publisher, and Frontpage in instructional activities encourages students to find information, images, and graphs on the Internet to use in their assignments.  Before students are allowed to mine the resources on the Internet, it is important that they know the basic laws and policies regarding the use of these pieces, both in and out of the classroom. In this activity, you will be researching copyright laws and creating a website to inform your students of these laws.
