Required Activities

Course Module A brief lesson on how to create realistic articles of clothing. It is used for art students to improve their way of drawing and seeing objects. It should be used in all different levels increasing the intensity for the higher grades.

Dropin 1 A quick activity of environmental art. It gets students motivated to use their surroundings to dictate the art that would be made. The activity also gets the teacher to see the types of art the students enjoy.

Dropin 2 this assignment gets the students to understand work from the basis of the artist. They do not just see a work of art but they see who the artist is and how that might have effected their works. This assignment should be for older grades unless the artist is changed.

Dropin 3 can be done with any grade. It would be perfect for getting elementary students loving the arts at a young age. It gets discussion going and learning about many artists at once in the classroom

Dropin 4 I feel this assignment makes a great end of the week activity that lets them watch tv but actually have an opinion about what they watch. They decide what site is better and why might it be better to use that site.

Dropin 5 this should be a high school project with computer savvy class. It teaches the students how to do a tutorial for others on different subjects. It will help with their judgments of how to teach others to do the same tasks.

Search Engines a listing of different search engines from medical to kids to travel. Is shows the students that there are many ways to find information and not just use yahoo. They can interact with the sites and get the information the quickest.

Weblink Bibliography gives an intense list of the galleries around the DC area. A great page I think for assignments in planning trips to the area and what could be seen.

Electives

Podcasts this is definitely a highschool project to get people motivated in learning about politics and how different people think. This assignment is to see if people are conforming to the masses or are they being their own person.

Webcams is a great assignment to teach about art. It uses different sites to show students other walks of lives and environments they are not used to. They have a chance to see other colors and how they are used.
