Web Link Bibliography In this assignment students are required to research a Caldecott or Newberry winner or honor recipient from the last year. The students are first required to research the awards and their history, and then they are to pick an author or illustrator from this year.  I have provided students with web resources for each recipient.

Course ModuleI created a lesson about blogging since I didn’t know much about it myself. The lesson talks about blogging and the pros and cons of blogging, and then provides links that explain how to create your own blog. Students are required to open their own blog and maintain it for a week as well as monitor two other blogs.

Electives

Newsletters – I subscribed to 2 free newsletters provided by EducationWorld.com. I chose a newsletter containing lesson plan ideas and links. Then I chose a humorous newsletter for teachers. Both are very worthwhile.

Lesson Plans – I have put together a list of lesson plan websites that I found useful. My focus was on middle school Language Arts lessons. Why reinvent the wheel or struggle to come up with ideas when there are great resources out there for us to use?
