High carb vs. High protein Diets

 

 

 

Introduction: Which is better or will make you lose weight faster, the high protein diet or the high carb diet? Everyone wants a fast fix to losing weight. The famous diets are out there now. There is South beach, Adkins, Body for life, Weight Watchers and so much more. But what diet is the best for losing weight?

 

Activity: We are going to compare two diets. The first diet is low carb and it is called The South Beach Diet. The diet we are going to compare it to is the Adkins which is a high protein diet.

        Using the sites (URL) listed below please find the following information to compare the two diets.

 

1.   Please describe the two diets in detail and there plans.

2.   List 3 pros and 3 cons for each diet.

3.   Describe one success story for each diet.

4.   In your opinion, state which diet you think will produce the fastest weight loss and why you think that.

5.   Please list all answers in your workbook which is provided at the beginning of the semester.
