Apogee – highest orbital point relative to the ECI
coordinate system
The state vector is the 3D directed arrow or position vector
of an object on its orbital path. The vector
starts at the origin of the ECI coordinate system and finishes at the point on
the orbit’s ellipse where the object is located at the current point in time.
