Journal Critique 1 – This is a critique of a journal article about how a group of people feel about letting computers be used as an educational tool for kids at a young age. I give my opinions about the article and how I feel about it.

Internet Porn – This is a list for students that explains what they should do if a site appears on their computer at school. This should already be addressed in schools, but I do not know of any procedures at our school at this point. Electronic Communication – This is a site that gives ten suggestions that will help students learn to communicate better on electronic devices, such as on a computer. Web Drop-in #2 – This is a site that gives information about the food pyramid. Students will create their own weekly meals for their family and try to reach each of the suggestive requirements. http://www2.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/tombsb/webdropin2.htm

Web Drop-in #4 – This is a site that gives references to a workout routine for cardiovascular. There are great references here. Students will compare and contrast different programs, due to the fact some are good for some people and not for others depending on the body make-up. http://www2.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/tombsb/webdropin4.htm

 

Web Drop-in #5 – This site gives good references to great articles on cardiovascular workouts, like on a stationary bike. Students will create their own workout on a stationary bike after referencing other workouts that suits them best. http://www2.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/tombsb/webdropin5.htm

 

Web Quest – This is an activity for students to really work on a lot real life essentials. It is a road trip for them, where they have to plans ahead for a lot of things such as travel, food, prices of items, and time. This is an activity where students travel to 6 different arena of the national Basketball Association, and plan their trip with a certain budget that they may not exceed.
