The McDaniel College School Library
Media Program has introduced me to the fabulous world of Children's and Young
Adult Literature, challenged me to create state of the art web sites and
instructed me in the best techniques of library administration. Designed to
meet the American Library Association standards, these artifacts and
reflections are representative of the work that I did for my master's degree
program. They are reflective of both my ideas and of the lessons taught in the
SLM program.
PHILOSOPHY
OF TEACHING
"To provide a high-quality, world-class education that ensures success for
every student through excellence in teaching and learning." Montgomery Public
Schools' mission statement presents the core of my teaching philosophy. To
provide success for every student, I will adapt lessons that include
information literacy skills to meet students' diverse needs while
collaborating with my colleagues to address the subject area curriculum. I
will motivate students to fulfill their potential as I provide them with
critical thinking and research skills to enable them to become life-long
learners. I firmly believe that every student can succeed.
