Bibliography of Lesson Plans
Much of a teacher’s busy day is taken up with planning for lessons that will be taught over the next several days. Web sites have been constructed with teachers sharing lessons they have taught to help others with planning. Some of the best lesson plan sites I have located are listed in this document. Through the use of these sites perhaps some of the time spent planning lessons can be put to a better use. I listed these sites in order of my preference.
Kathy Schrock’s Guide for Educators – This site would be my number one site for lesson plans. Not only are there a plethora of web sites, but there is also material about assessment, bulletin boards and a list of instructional books about the Internet. There is everything here for the busy teacher to use as a resource.

Carol Hurst’s Children’s Literature Site – The lesson plans listed here have the extra bonus of having excellent literature integrated with these lessons. The plans are organized by curricular areas. These curricular areas are further organized into themes with supporting lesson plans. This site provides a model of integrating literature with other curricular subjects.

Sites for Teachers – What an extensive list of web sites for teachers! This site list four hundred sites which contain lesson plans as well as worksheets, puzzles, etc. The web pages contained at this site are ranked from one to four hundred according to their use. This is a great resource and a site worth book marking.

ed helper.com – This site contained many lesson plans which could be used in the elementary classroom. Also included at this site were puzzles, word finds and math activities. The site was attractive and information and plans were easily located.

Lesson Plans and Teaching Strategies – The lesson plans were combined with different strategies which could be used in the classroom. This page was easy to use. The lessons were practical and level by grade level. I appreciated and found helpful the inclusion of teaching strategies at this site.
