Oakley, Becky and Cynthia Wilson. Edgar Allan Poe Webquest.
Accessed April 3, 2004. http://www.geocities.com/educationplace/poe/wqpoe.htm
This in-depth, lengthy webquest invites
students to read, analyze, and evaluate Poe’s works. The quest invites students
to be the judges for a Poe consortium. They must read Poe’s works and select
which six should be included. Students will create the playbill for the
consortium.

which they may invite the most prominent figures of the time. Students must not
only select an award-winning guest list, but they must also research customs,

entertainment, the menu, and the conversation topics.

news report (each group member should contribute at least one) will be word

Zinkel, Marcia and Kaplan, Diana. I Search Webquest.
Accessed April 3, 2004.
http://www.berksiu.k12.pa.us/webquest/kapplanzinkle/index.htm
Boring research papers are given an
energetic twist with this I-Search process. Students may choose any project
topic from a list of thirty before following the six step approach. This
website is interesting because not only is it well-developed, but it focuses on
the teacher. The webquest is actually for teachers who want a new way to
conduct research with their students.
