I wanted to inform you that the email you sent to me warning me about the virus ___________ is a hoax. There are many hoaxes, which are programs claiming to be a virus, but in reality are no threat of any kind, circulating around the Internet. They do not and cannot change the functioning of any program or computer. Some known hoaxes are:

·        If you receive an email titled [email virus hoax name here], do not open it!

·        Delete it immediately!

·        It contains the [hoax name] virus

·        Forward this warning to everyone you know!

If you receive emails containing these titles erase them immediately. Do not forward them because they are considered as spam and sending every hoax email you receive can interfere with the running of your network.
