Sharon Hall's 2nd Grade Class

I found this site to be very warm and inviting as well as decorative.  It was an absolute pleasure to visit.  It was created for the use of the author's 2nd grade Elementary School classroom which includes the subjects of Reading, Science and Math.  The site is useful to students in that they can complete lesson activities in all subject areas, by clicking and dragging with their mouse, which helps reinforce the classroom lessons.  Students can also review lesson plans online if they need to refresh their memory or keep up to date if they have missed school.  Tips for parents, on how to help their children succeed in school are also offered.  Suggested improvements are:  Make the page listings  categorized in order to make navigation easier, make the directions for the lesson activities  thorough in order to help students perform the tasks (I had some difficulty figuring them out!), keep the content of the website to a specific grade level.  I started to become confused as to wether this was a 1st or 2nd grade class.

Meek's Marvelous First Grade Class
This site is well designed and organized and contains wonderful graphics.  It is that of a 1st grade
teacher, for her Elementary School classroom, who teaches the subjects of Reading, Science and Math.  This site is useful to students and parents in that it includes printable activites parents can do with their children at home, in order to strenghthen skills.  A newsletter feature keeps parents informed about classroom activities as well as pictures of the "things we do" in the classroom and learning centers.  Links to other sites where children can go to play games that reinforce newly acquired skills are also offered.  Suggested improvements are:  Add lesson plans so that students and parents can keep current if the student misses school, include activities that the students can do at the website that are interactive and pertain to the classroom activities in order to reinforce or refresh those lessons, include more information for student use so that they will visit the website and stay informed.
