Learning about the symphonic orchestra

Welcome to the lovely sound of the symphonic orchestra!  An orchestra is a group of instruments playing together.  There are four groups of instruments in a symphonic orchestra:  Strings, Woodwinds, Brass and Percussion.  In this activity, you will visit an instrument storage room and learn more about the four groups.

When you move your mouse around the homepage, you will be given the chance to visit certain areas relating to the orchestra.  Choose Instrument Storage Room and you will be able to read about and listen to instruments belonging to the four groups.  Choose one of the groups and then visit the website listed below by clicking on the link.  Print and complete the activity sheet.
