Introduction
It would be foolish and
asking for trouble for a teacher to ignore the Internet and the resources and
teaching opportunities that come with it.
However, it would be doubly as stupid for a teacher to embark on
“online” learning with a classroom of students on the Internet without clear
rules and routines. These procedures
are to ensure safe surfing, as well as protection for you and your school from
trouble. Below are two important components
of every teacher’s approach to this online safety; an agreement (checklist) for
students, as well as a letter to parents detailing the steps that you, the
teacher, have taken to protect their children.
