Engines – A list containing what I consider to be the best search engines
out there. They are separated into five
categories with each category containing my top two picks.

Bibliography – A list containing links to websites I felt were useful for
students and teachers of the Cold War between the

1 – This first dropin is a basic exercise to get students acquainted with the
people, places, events, and dates of the Cold War.

2 – This second dropin works off of the first one and includes graphics and
a trivia game.

3 – This third dropin includes elements of all three dropins so far. Students will explore interactive maps to
answer questions.

4 – This fourth dropin includes elements from the first two dropins. The dropin examines the different opinions
and attitudes about the Vietnam War.

Dropin 5 – This fourth dropin includes elements from the first two dropins
and a graphic representation. The focus
topic for this dropin was the Cuban Missile Crisis of the Cold War.

# 3: Collaborative – A list of five collaborative projects that can be
useful for social studies teachers. The
projects focus on Secondary Education, although some of the projects can be
appropriate for younger classrooms.

6: Virtual Field Trip – A virtual
field trip travel brochure that provides everything you need for an Ancient
Roman adventure! Choose from a handful

# 8: Online Shopping – A list in
table format that includes helpful shopping sites for a variety of different
shopping experiences. Looking for
auction, discount, or comparisons, this list has it along with two links for
each category.

10: Lesson Plans – A list of five sites that have valuable lesson
plans. A few of the sites are actually
lesson plan search engines that provide lesson plans on a many subjects. The remaining sites focus on Secondary Ed
history and social studies.

# 11: Sounds – This elective takes advantage of using sounds in an
educational activity. I decided to make
the activity fit the mold of a Web Dropin but with sound clips attached. The focus is on McCarthyism and the activity
includes two sound clips from Senator McCarthy’s speeches.
Elective
# 12: Email – This is a list of what I consider the top ten suggestions in
regards to using email. I have included
tips and some problems that could arise if these tips are not used when sending
emails. The target audience is high
school students or adults.
Course Module – This is the culminating project from the course. It adds onto the course module to virtual field trips by asking the student to compare field trips rather than create a travel brochure.
