Audience~ Kindergarten to First Grade

                                                                               

Introduction~ This activitiy is designed to expose primary students to reading and enjoying rhymes as an online activity.  On this website, there are other high interest activities which will motivate students to read more and become actively engaged in it.


Information~ For this dropin activity, primary students will read some rhymes for fun and make a craft to go with one of the stories. They will need an adult or an upper grade level partner to help them with the reading and with making the puppet.

First, go to this website link listed below. Click onto some of the rhymes and read them for fun

Activities:

1.Which rhyme did you like best? Tell someone about it or draw a picture in your journal.
2.Click onto this website and follow the directions to make the monkey.

7.With the teacher or an upper grade level helper, fill out this venn diagram below and discuss the same things and the different things each monkey did in both rhymes.

2. For Side B, draw what the monkey did in Pop Goes The Weasel.
