Introduction:
When working with ELL
students, you will need a variety of activities to do with them to help foster
their English Language Acquisition. Below is a website for teachers to
use as a resource guide. This page could be useful in helping develop teachers'
background knowledge about their LEP students so they can feel comfortable
knowing how to work with them.

Activities:
1. Write in your journal which activities you completed on the website. Which
activities did you like best? Why did you like those activities? Add that
information to your journal.
2. Under the listening section on the website, draw a picture about one of the
stories you read. Label the information that you drew and be ready to share it
orally with a partner or your teacher..
3. Click back onto the website. Under the Listening section, click onto " Personal
Information ". Answer
the questions , but write that information in your
journal. ..... not on the website. After you have answered those
questions, write a story about yourself .
Here are some questions to help you get started…
1. What’s your name?
2. Where do you live?
3. When is your birthday?
4. What classes do you like the best?
5. What language do you speak?
6. Where are you from?
7. What do you like to do when you are
not in school?
