  COURSE MODULE

This is a learning activity which addresses the safety and privacy issues related to social networking.  WEB DROP-IN #1: SUBTRACTION WITH REGROUPING

This math drop-in, geared for 2nd grade, asks students to use virtual manipulatives to practice subtraction with regrouping.

This drop-in focuses on descriptive writing. It asks students to use a web-based tool to examine good descriptive writing and write their own descriptive paragraph.

This drop-in activity is centered on multicultural education. The activity invites students to compare and contrast American culture with the traditional culture of indigenous Incans living in the Andes Mountains, by exploring a website that shows what life is like from the point of view of a member of a traditional Incan family.

The focus of this drop-in is persuasive writing. This activity asks students to decide their point of view on the age-old question: should students be allowed to chew gum in school?

Students are asked to read various points of view on the topic online, then decide on their stance and write persuasively to defend their opinion.
