Natural Disasters

Natural disasters happen all over the earth and have an impact on us, whether we know it or not! You are going to be completing a research project on a natural disaster of your choice. You will decide what you want to study about the disaster and then produce a brochure to share your findings.

To begin your project, you are going to look at different disasters to choose which one you would like to research. You are going to go to the following website, http://library.thinkquest.org/16132/frames.html, and choose TWO disasters to look at. Click on each of the disasters and read the information provided. Then answer the following questions for each disaster (you may need to click on one of the links to find all of your answers).

1. How does this disaster occur?

2. Where does it occur?

3. What type of damage does it cause?

4. Are any of them famous? When and where?

5. What are safety and/or prevention tips?
