After hours of
searching, the following are the sites I found that contain useful, printable
worksheets for Language Arts.
1. RHL School

cloze activities, stories with comprehension questions, poems, essays, and articles. This site is geared to upper elementary and
middle school.

2. Gigglepotz
Gigglepotz

printable sheets are helpful for general classroom management as well as
Language Arts. I like the reading logs,
book reports, project planning guides, and behavior forms.

Sample
Language Arts activities can be opened and printed for free using either Word
or Adobe Acrobat Reader. There is also
a CD Rom available for purchase. Most

7. Teaching Resources – Language
Arts Ideas
Laura
Candler has opened her file cabinet for all teachers to browse through. Many of her language Arts activities are
appropriate for 6th and 7th grade English. I plan to use some of her poetry, grammar,
and writing activities.

Word
puzzles and activities are available to help students prepare for SATs and
other standardized tests. Some
activities are interactive and some are available for printing. Level 2 is
designed for middle school students.
The activities help to increase vocabulary and verbal test-taking
skills.
Middle
School students need help with spelling!
This site has great advice for teachers and parents, worksheets,
puzzles, and exercises that will help to improve spelling. There are even spelling activities for
content words in math and science. The
site was created in the UK. I found
that some of the words on the site are spelled differently than in the US. However, Spell it Right is too helpful to
leave off this list!
