Clip Art Assignment
The web contains so many free clip art sites. I found several that would be fantastic for educators and students. It is difficult to find your way through the maze of free clip art. These web sites will reduce the searching!
This site is a family project led by 13-year-old Tom. It contains free clip art with no advertisements. Tom has provided general clip art of interest to kids. The headings include: animals, weather, robots, holidays, toys, weather, and a school zone. The school pictures are fantastic for teachers and students. I would use this site first with middle school students. They could see first hand what other students their age can do!

Teacherfiles.com contains a variety of educational clip art that would fit well into a teacher web page. Categories include all areas of the curriculum, general school art, seasons, monthly headings, and theme headings.

The clip art gallery contains fantastic educational clipart for teachers and students. One of the best features of this site is the specific directions to add graphics for PC and Mac users. There are animated clips, color, and black and white. The copyright on the graphics requires the user to provide credit to Discovery school or to provide a link to Discovery school.

Ten pages of school clip art
make up this site. There are also
images for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Smileys (my favorite). Some images are in black and white and
others are in color. The pages do not
seem to be organized well but it does not take long to browse through the
adorable images.

This collection of clip art is
created and maintained by high school students. There are about 60 pages of school clip art. Each page contains about 15 images. Most of the pages contain similar
graphics. A great feature of this site
is a text-based index so the user can find the graphic they are looking for
without having to click all over the site.
All the images are available for free non- commercial use. This is another site to show kids what they
could do on the web!

Barry provides a plethora of
choices for all your clipart needs.
There are free photos and clip art in a variety of subject areas
including education topics. Animated
clips as well as links to other graphics sites are another feature. Clipart.com, Graphics.com, Clipart
Connection, and Art Today are all linked on the server. Take some time to browse through the wide
variety of art on this free site.

Noreen Strehlow created this
site for teachers and students. It
contains clip art for school and holidays.
There is also a section of religious clip art but there are plenty of
images that public school teachers can use.
The pictures are original and adorable.
Noreen requests that no one adds the pictures to a clip art collection. I love the turtles, letters, and the extra
art.
