My Clip Art Library
The following web sites offer free clip art. Several offer restrictions on the number of images you can
download
as well as what uses are acceptable. Be sure to read the copyright information carefully.

Classroom Clipart
A wonderful site for educational clip art. It has specific topics like gems and minerals, hieroglyphs and aircraft as well as general ones like science and school. The only drawback is the organization. Although the clip art is grouped into different topics to make it more convenient to find, the general ones like school have over 200 images in no particular order. And with the web page showing only nine images to a page, it takes patience to browse all the images available. http://classroomclipart.com/

Clip Art Gallery
This is the Discovery School web site for clip art. It has clip art for a variety of school subjects as well as clip art for technology, logos, mascots, holidays, and seasons. It contains both black and white and color images. It also offers a few animated clips. Although some of the clip art would work in a middle school, most of it is elementary. http://school.discovery.com/clipart/

CoolClips.com
Coolclips.com also offers subject categories for its clip art. However, under the education category it has the clip art separated into two sub-categories of reading and school. So when using this web site do not limit your search to the education category. Other larger categories include: history, nature, sports, science, and technology. The graphics are colorful and fun, but not necessarily elementary. http://www.coolclips.com/

Rebel Artist
I love this site! It has a search bar and the clip art is really bright, imaginative and off beat. If you click on the "Search this Site" button it will take you to a category search page, but I had more luck using the search bar. I found images I hadn't seen elsewhere. Most of the clip art is free but some of it does require you to pay a fee to use. Also, you do have to sign up and agree to Rebel Artist's use and terms (even for the free clip art), but it is definitely worth it! http://www.rebelartist.com/

School Clip Art
For educational use only, this site was created by Gifart.com. Gifart.com is an excellent for-fee clip art site. I had stumbled over several of their images on other pages and they are all protected by copyright. However this page is set aside for teachers to use without having to pay the fee. It has a large variety of images, including some that I would not consider strictly education-related: construction, holidays, and weddings to name a few. http://www.school-clip-art.com/
