Student Publishing Permission Form
Dear Parent,
As you know by now, the internet has become a part of learning in our school. There are two main aspects of student internet usage. One is research and activities involving the acquisition of knowledge. You child has already been doing this for some time. The other is the publication of student work online via a teacher- or school-sponsored link.
Why publish student work? As with any published work, the recognition of a job well-done is the major reason. When a student creates a great poem, picture, or other work, an ideal way to reward this is to let others see it. It’s certain to motivate the students to do the very best they can. Furthermore, it enhances the view of the internet as a community of learning.
In order to publish
student work, we need both your permission and that of the student. Please sign and date the form at the bottom
of this page, detach and return it to your teacher.
Please note the following safety precautions will be taken:
n The student’s last names will never be used
n The contact person for any responses will be the teacher
n No phone numbers, addresses or individual pictures will be allowed
n No hyperlinks to any student web pages or addresses will be allowed
If you have any questions please contact your student’s teacher.
