Teacher Web
Pages
Ms. Carney's Math Web Page- This page is created for math students at the high school level and is integrated with the subject of patriotism.  What I really liked about this page was that everything was linked together and so it was easy to access the different aspects of her page.  She also has a number of graphics that add to the theme of her page as well as her questions. The  mathematical questions she asks are  about the first Americans, applying it to real life situations and making it interesting for  the kids and integrating math with social studies.
I think that Ms. Carney could improve this site by making it more interactive so that students would maintain their interest in the site.  Also, she sticks to one form of activity, asking mathematical questions, which I'm sure is fine for the linear mind, but the rest of us need more diversity. Another thing she could do is to create a printer friendly worksheet for the students to answer the questions on because otherwise they will have to  print the entire site to have a place to write them.

Ms. Mariam's Web Page- This page is for the elementary level, in particular, the 5th grade.  She teaches Instructional Technology and this site is based on Folk Tales.  I absolutely loved this site.  It was so well done!  One of the things that I liked was how she incorporated the kids work onto the site. It was so interesting to see the stories that they came up with and to see what is important to them.  This site also has many different ways to  interact  with the viewer.  There are great graphics, music, and interactive games.  Overall, I liked how diverse the site was.  It had things from different cultures and for different types of learners.  It could keep kids, including me, interested for hours.
It is hard to find things that need improvement, but one thing that could be improved is that the site could have actual folk tales and other educational resources because the site only goes into the games and what work the kids have done and doesn't explain the basis for the works.  The site could also have homework activities incorporated into it so that the kids' parents could look and see what is due the next day and what items they might need to get for class supplies.  This site could also use more information about the teacher and her class.  After seeing how incredible the page was, I wondered about her background and what the course outline was.  Basically, the site made me curious for information.
