We have been discussing the Civil War in class. Today we are preparing for our field trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. We will visit a great web site and complete a creative writing Activity.

You are a soldier fighting at Gettysburg. As you read, think about all you have seen. Think about what the battle means to your cause (Yank or Rebel) and how the outcome will affect this. Think about how the battle affected you personally. Write a letter home to your family telling them of the battle. Include actual facts about the battle in your letter. You may fight on either side and in any division or unit of your choice. Be creative and Have Fun!
