Teacher Made Web Sites
Ms. Ullen’s Web Page – fifth grade teacher in Palos Verdes Peninsula School District
http://www.pvpusd.k12.ca.us/teachweb/ULLEN/mainpage.htm
+ I liked the use of graphics
+ Great information to parents at the beginning of the year to know the schedule.
+ Looks easy to maintain with only a few links – to search engines and school district page.
- It could be more interactive with possible photos of current happenings/learning in the classroom.
- It would be more productive if she put events coming up or ongoing projects instead of just the same weekly homework.
- Needs more links to web sites that enhance the curriculum
Sue Boehm’s web page – fifth grade classroom at Pine Street Elementary, Wayland, Michigan
+ Nicely laid out with several links.
+ Cool pictures of student engaged in learning.
+ Great display of their teaching philosophy.
- The newsletter had small font and too condensed. I would say less and link more.
- They could use a few more links. I teach fifth grade and I have found a bunch.
- It needs to be updated- when I went to the site the newsletter was from January.
