What’s the Matter? 

 

Upon completion of this assignment students will be able to:

 

Overview:  Matter is defined as anything that has a mass and takes up space.  It is basically that “stuff” that makes up any and all objects.  In this activity you will learn more about mass and be able to distinguish between the three states of matter. 

 

Assignment:  Use a triple Venn diagram to list and compare properties of solids, liquids and gases.  You may either copy the following diagram on your own paper or click here for a printable copy.  Once you have your diagram, visit the website below and read about matter, solids, liquids, and  gases.  As you read, complete your diagram.
