FAMOUS PEOPLE FROM MARYLAND
As
part of your study of Maryland, you will use the Internet to gather
information on important people in Maryland’s history.
You will use notetaking skills to place information on a timeline.
PROCEDURES:

1. Go
to the following website –
http://www.teachervision.com/lesson-plans/lesson-6301.html.
Print out one copy of the Printable
Time Line.
2. Then go
to the following website - http://www.sos.state.md.us/sos/kids/html/people.html.
You will see two columns of
names. From the columns you will find and click on each of the following seven names.

3.
You will read the information about
each person, noting his/her
achievements and the timeframe when they lived.
4. Place
the names on the top line of your timeline in the order in which they
lived. Above the name write the date(s) of their achievements.
5. On the downward slanting lines, write one accomplishment of each
person.
