Elective - Citing Internet Sources (Instruction)
There are two primary methods of citing internet sources: APA - American Psychological Association, and MLA - Modern Language Association. Given the option of utilizing the following four sites,
I would recommend the Classroom Connect site to high school students for citing internet resources. I chose this site because I felt it was the most straight-forward of the four sites, and utilizes terminology high school students will associate with. Although all of the sites are useful, I believe the Lafayette site may be confusing because it references both the APA and MLA; and both the Write Source and Indiana University sites may be too advanced for many high school students.
The following are referenced in APA style:
CIA. "World Fact Book - Afghanistan." [Online] Date visited: 12 June 2002. <http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/af.html>.
