Teacher Made Sites

I found these sites while doing research on 6+1 traits.

6 Trait Writing -

I have the following commendations:

1. I love the graphic design and layout of the title page and link pages.

2. The lesson plan page not only has great lesson plans, but incorporates the use of computers in the classroom.

3. The acknowledgements page is professional yet displays appropriate gratitude.

I have the following recommendations:

1. Each trait could use more description rather than a one liner with a rubric.

2. Any student can submit writings and I’m not sure if there are monitored.

3. This site was last updated in 7/99. Could you possibly update yearly?

6 + 1 Traits Writing

I have the following commendations:

1. The front page of the site spells out all the definitions without having to go to individual links.

2. This site contains a link to rubrics which is separated into traits. .

3. Nice page with additional lessons. I especially like the design and ease of reading.

I have the following recommendations:

1. The main page is not clear on which state’s standards are based?

2. When you link to “teaching ideas”, you are going to a total different site and must be forwarded.

3. There is no acknowledgements page which would be a considerate thing to do.
