Avoiding Inappropriate Websites

         During our time in the computer lab, there will be times when you will be required to search for various topics. You need to be aware that some searches which start out completely innocent can take you to some very inappropriate sites.

In the event that you find yourself in one of these sites, it is most likely you will not be able to get out of it. Therefore, the following is our policy and will need to be followed:

1. Turn off the monitor.

2. Raise your hand in order to get a teacher to help you.

3. The teacher will then write down the website name, and then restart your computer.

4. You will then be allowed to proceed with your search.

This procedure is for your safety and must be followed. If you fail to follow the simple directions you may be removed from the lab.

You will need to sign and return the bottom portion of this letter before you will be allowed to use the computer lab.
