ELECTRICITY

Electricity is used to power many things in our world today. In order for electricity to power things you must have a closed circuit. There are two types of closed circuits. What is the difference between a parallel circuit and a series circuit?

You will need to read about closed circuits first.

Then you will go to the page about parallel circuits, and using the diagram, you will create one. You will need to print the page after completing the diagram.

Next you will do the same for the series circuit.

Answer the following questions and turn them in with the completed circuit designs in order to complete this assignment.

1. Which type of circuit is used to power lights in your house?

2. Name 10 things in your house which cannot work without electricity.
