Now that you have learned more about one of the games that are played at the Winter Olympics,
I want you to get to know one of the athletes from the sport that you learned about.  We will be
using the information you compiled in the first dropin activity along with the information from this
one, and you will design an informational pamphlet which we will display in the Media Center for
other students to use and look at.  Be sure to read all of the directions completely before doing this
activity.  I highly recommend that you print the directions out before you proceed so that you have
a copy with you while you are completing this activity. 
 

3. Click on the sport you investigated in the first dropin.  When you get to that site,
you will notice they have a long list of athletes who are participating in that sport
from all different countries.  Look through the list and select and athlete you would
like to learn more about.  The athlete you choose needs to be from the USA.

4. Click on the athletes name that you have chosen to learn more about. There, you
will see a general information chart and underneath of that, they have a write up 
about the athlete.  Read through both the chart and the paragraphs to learn more
on the athlete you have chosen in your sport.

5.  After reading, answer the questions on the worksheet you printed out earlier.  When
you are done, please turn your work into me.  Remember, we will be making an
informational brochure using the information you have gotten from both dropins.
