The Winter Olympics have many different sports that are participating.  However, some of the sports
are ones we have never heard of or we just don't know much about them.  With this activity, I want
you to better familiarize yourself with one of the sports that you are the least knowledgable about.  To
do this, you will need to follow the directions listed below.  Please be sure you read all of the directions
BEFORE you do this activity.  This will prevent there from being any confusion about what I expect.
You may even want to print out this web page so you have the directions with you during the activity.

1. You will need to print out the information sheet you will need to complete this activity. Do this first.

2. Next, you will go to the following site

3. At this site, you will need to choose a sport that you know very little about. Click on that sport and it
will take you to a site that has information that includes results, schedules, medals, and athletes.  I want
you to select ABOUT THIS SPORT which will take you to a new web page.  Once there, click on HISTORY.

4. I want you to read the information that you find there and then complete the activity sheet based on
what you read about at the site you chose.  Be sure you selected a sport that you know little about.

5. Turn in your completed sheet to me when you are finished and print out a copy of the website to
use in your research.
