Honey Bees

    Many people do not understand the important role honey bees play in our environment.  People are often afraid of honey bees and kill them without thinking.  You will write a letter to be distributed to the homeowners in your community explaining why honey bees are so vital to humans.
   First, you will gather some facts about honey bees from the PBS website, "Tales from the Hive" at http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/bees/ .  These should be facts that will support your position.  Print the graphic organizer that you will use to gather your facts.
    After you have viewed the site and collected support for your position, begin writing a draft of your letter.
