CHINESE DYNASTIES

A dynasty is a period of time where one family rules the country. The Chinese were ruled by many dynasties. The earliest known dynasty is the Xia dynasty beginning in 1994 B.C. Yet the first dynasty actually recorded, historically, is the Shang Dynasty which began rule in 1766 B.C.

Directions:

1. The student will review the following links for information on Chinese Dynasties. The student needs to choose 3 Dynasties in which to become an expert on.

3. After completion of chart, students are to create a poster illustrating dynasty information. Poster must contain the following:

- Map of China – including dynasty areas labeled

- Information gathered on chart

- Color, neatness, and creativity

4. An oral presentation will be done after completion of poster.
