BOOKMARKS

Objective:
Students will be able to create an Educational folder which includes bookmarks that allow them quick access to favorite education websites.
Students
will be able to create subfolders within main folder in order to organize bookmarks.
Introduction:
Today with the amount of time we search on the net it is hard to remember all the urls that we visit. This is why the development of Bookmarks, otherwise known as favorites, came about. The bookmark/favorite function allows users to revisit pages directly without always remembering the web address.
Activity:
Choose 2 or 3 search engines and search the Internet to develop a list of 10 educational sites based on your teaching area or level. Then create a bookmark list for the web sites.
Assignment:
Using the Internet locate web sites that are relative to your teaching area or level. After linking to a page of interest create a bookmark/favorite. There are two ways to create a bookmark/favorite. The first is the right click on the web page and select add to favorites. The second way is to go to the side bar and select favorites, then add to favorites key. Doing one of these methods creates a shortcut to the web site for a later time.
After a minimum of 10 web sites have been added to your bookmark/favorites, please create a main Educational folder and a minimum of 2 subfolders to organize your web links. To organize go to side bar and choose favorites then click on organize favorites. Create a new folder. Then click on web link and choose move to folder. Bookmark a minimum of 3 web links under each sub folder. Complete movement of all web links.
When your list is complete right click on the folder and select send to. Send copy of your bookmark/favorite list to my email.
