Links to Lesson Plans
for Health and Physical Education
This is my list of sites for links to
lesson plans for Health and Physical Education classes. As a teacher, it is helpful to gain and share
ideas with other teachers who have found what works, and what doesnt. Hopefully these links can help to give ideas
to enhance your Health and P.E. classes.

LessonPlanz for PE This site gives good lesson plan
ideas in PE for all grades. I
particularly like the football fantasy idea for older students. This is a way to incorporate a
cross-curriculum idea into PE with having to keep track of statistics. Date visited

Discoveryschool
This page contains lesson plans for health classes for grades 6-12. I like this list of lesson plans a lot
because at the end of each one, it gives ideas to adapt the plan for older or
younger grades. These lesson plans are
also very thorough and give ideas to include technology use in the
classroom. Date visited

Glencoe
This site provides excellent ideas for block scheduling. This is how many teachers are required to
write their unit planning. I love these
ideas because the lessons are categorized into three sections of concentration:
reading skills, cross-curriculum and media literacy. It gives great ideas to incorporate reading
into the P.E. curriculum. These lesson
plans should be used with older grade levels.

health alone. I have not yet become a
member of this site, but will consider it in the future. Date visited
