Dropin 1 – The
objective of this activity is to be able to identify the five warning signs and
three risk factors of alcoholism as stated in the linked article. Also, students will write several paragraphs
relating to personal experience and problem solving ability as connected to the
information reviewed online.

Dropin 2 – The objective of this activity is to learn about
tooth decay and prevention techniques.
Students will share experiences at the dentist, learn new terminology,
and compare lists of their favorite foods with unhealthy foods and drinks in
the article. Students will also write a
short paragraph comparing their current dental hygiene habits with those
suggested in the article.

Dropin 3 – The
objective of this activity is to study the food pyramid and learn about how
much of each food you are required to eat per day. Students will record their food intake for
one week and compare/contrast their eating habits to the recommended daily
intake.

Dropin 4 – This
activity has students explore the differences of pro-choice and pro-life
concepts of abortion. They then
formulate their own ideas, feelings and beliefs in small groups and present
their findings to the class.

activity includes learning about safety tips for backpack use to avoid back
pain and exploring the weight of their own backpacks to create a chart and
