1. Maryland Quarter - This cooperative, performance based, critical thinking activity leads fourth graders through the net to design their own Maryland Quarter. Lots of fun and a great activity!

2.      Bald Eagels - Protecting Bald Eagles In Maryland: A Web Quest - This web-quest is designed to help students become familiar with the American Bald Eagle and understand what human and environmental factors have caused it to be listed on the endangered species list.  The students will also learn about the Bald Eagle population in Maryland and learn what conservation efforts are working to help this species survive.  http://wwwfac.wmdc.edu/slm/student/521mc/carlsonp/webquest1.htm

1.Study the Planets - This child-friendly activity will enable students to examine their prior knowledge of planets and explore new facts.

2. Aesop – Enjoy reading a fable of your choice and explain what the moral of the fable it.

3. Time Zones – With this activity, you will read, analyze, and critique an United States Time Zone Map.

4. Researching Maryland – This activity will help students to evaluate which web sites will be best to use when researching their state of Maryland.

5.Timelines and Data – Students will learn to read a set of data and represent it on a timeline.

6.Current Events ResearchStudents read a current event article, record the 5 W’s on a worksheet and summarize the article.

7. Researching and comparing MDStudents will research MD and another state. Drawing and writing go hand in hand with this activity
