Spring
is in the air and so are tennis balls!!
That’s right, we are going to start playing tennis! However, first things first, we need to learn
a few things in order to enjoy playing tennis.
We will look at the aim, or object, of the game, scoring and rules. We will also browse
some of the celebrity sites like Andrea Agassi and the Williams Sisters. There is also some additional information on
the bottom for those of you looking for more tennis.
Tennis
is a fun game played by some great players.
Let’s take a look at a few great tennis players that we all know. Take a few minutes to browse their websites
before we GET INTO THE GAME ourselves.

Now that you are done
browsing, I am sure that you are ready to play tennis, right! Well, you have to learn a few basic things
before you can step out onto the court and have fun playing tennis. Therefore, you will have to complete a
worksheet using the links that follow. This
worksheet will help you understand the game of tennis. The worksheet is divided into three sections –
The Aim of the Game, Scoring, and Rules.

section one at a time, you will fill out the worksheet with the appropriate

we will move onto the scoring. This is
where people get a little lost. It is a
scoring system unique to tennis and takes getting used to. After studying the diagram of the tennis
court below, click on it, and it will take you to a good explanation of the
scoring system for tennis. Pay close
attention here, tennis scoring can be a little confusing. Taking your time on the worksheet will help
you better understand tennis scoring.

Rules!
Rules!! And more RULES!!! Yes, there are
many rules of tennis just like in any other game. Here is a link to provide you with a
description of tennis rules as stated by the United State Tennis Association. Rules We will not go too in-depth with all the
rules. However, I do want to you to
learn the basics of proper tennis etiquette or otherwise known as The Code of
Tennis. For an explanation of tennis
