and their capabilities in five areas; general search, media, news, medical, and

PE Teacher Links –
This page
contain several physical education internet links in the following categories;
tennis, basketball, badminton, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee. http://wwwfac.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/jensent/pewebsitelinks.htm
Web Drop #1 Intro to Tennis-
This is a page
that contains short introduction to tennis and a website to help students
answer questions. http://wwwfac.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/jensent/drop1.htm
PE Lesson Plans on the Internet- Lesson plans for PE can be hard to come by. Therefore, I have created a page that
contains good links to take you to websites containing lesson plans in the
areas of physical education and health. http://wwwfac.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/jensent/peplans.htm
Web Drop #2 Olympics- The Olympic Games are familiar to everyone but maybe not all of
the sports. This assignment has the
students research the Olympic sports they are not familiar with through the
official Olympic movement website. It is
a great website. http://wwwfac.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/jensent/drop2.htm
Web Drop #3 Team Handball- Team Handball is a great game but not very popular. I am sure more people would play team
handball if it was a little more known.
This assignment introduces the students to the game and takes them to a
good website, USA Team Handball. http://wwwfac.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/jensent/drop2.htm
Shopping Athletics- This website has a table
listing different websites for shopping athletic products using different
styles of shopping such as browsing, auctions, and more. I have also included a section on PE
Shopping. http://wwwfac.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/jensent/shops.htm
The Hall of Fames- This link will take you to a
virtual tour website. The tours on this
website feature four hall of fames from the sports baseball, hockey, football, and
basketball. http://wwwfac.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/jensent/fame.htm
Web Drop #4 Just Supporting the
Team- This
activity has the student research two teams, one they like and the rival
team. They will have to research each team
and then forecast results. They can
choose one of three sports – football, baseball, and basketball. http://wwwfac.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/jensent/drop4.htm
Web Drop #5 Choose and Create a
Workout- This activity directs the students to links that have several
different sample workouts. They are to
take this information and create a workout that best suites them. http://wwwfac.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/jensent/drop5.htm
WebQuest – Tennis- This activity starts the
students on a tennis unit. This web
activity takes the students through the aim of the game, scoring, and tennis
etiquette. It has many website links and
is very interactive. http://wwwfac.mcdaniel.edu/slm/student/jensent/tenwq.htm
Course Module – Bookmarks-
This course
module has the student go through an activity using bookmarks. Many novice internet users fail to use this
feature just because they do not know how to.
